It ended all too quickly. However I think that might ultimately prove to be a good thing. I never came close to burning out physically or mentaly and so I am already raring to go and get my base training started. I'm gonna force myself to take a break because I'd hate to burn out mentally in March. Also I need to run more.
damn. I just checked NCAA.org and read through their eligibility rules. Turns out there's a secondary condition on the max age (25) rule... The elgibility starts when the student starts uni full time and ends 5 years later. My eligibility just ended a couple of weeks ago. FOUR FUCKING YEARS early. Fuckers.
Oh well. I'm pissed off now so I'm gonna go running in a little while and be bitter the whole damn time at the stupid NCAA. I'm beginning to hold them in about as much respect as I hold the UCI. They claim they're protecting the rights of serious students against the invasion of the professional athlete and yet those of us who graduated from uni at 19 get totally screwed. BAH! Maybe I could request some sort of special extension. I doubt they'd care.
Maybe USAT doesn't suck so much... I guess I could always hire a swim coach (or barter w/ another budding triathlete... cycling lessons for swimming lessons) and just learn to swim fast.
Class is boring but I'm still optimisitc that it will pick up pace.
OK I'm all out of LJ motivation for another week or two :-)
